This classic village inn is the centre for many local events including the famous annual turnip prize, spoof and penny chuffin'. The public bar, lounge and dining areas are complemented by a beer garden to the rear.

The George Inn Wedmore, our Grade II Listed home, was transformed by us and our philosophy is simple: You are staying with us in our home, so please just ask us for anything you need.

An unspoilt country pub, somewhat off the beaten track although actually quite close to main the Cheddar to Wedmore road. Internally it consists of three rooms, with the “smoking room” and bar counter off to the right as you go in.

We are a cafe and bar - so please come and see us. Stop for a chat or a bite to eat. Comfy seats, plenty of room, games to play and books to read. Outdoor seating if it's warm enough. No rush, no pressure but a warm welcome.

A traditional pub with a nice homely and welcoming feel. The food offering is a short but good range of home cooked food to a good quality and portion size.

The Sheppey Inn lies out on the beautiful wilds of the Somerset Levels, surrounded by peat moors, dairy farms and national wildlife reserves.
