We stayed in an air bnb only about a mile down the road and walked up late at night (around 8/8:30pm) not thinking they’d be open, but were greeted by lovely staff who told they are open till half 10 every night and allowed dogs even with ours being rather large. Very welcoming experience and food was excellent aswell
Lovely cosy pub, nice atmosphere. Great service. Excellent food and a varied menu. We had mulled wine and pheasant burgers which were gorgeous, locally sourced.
Had Sunday lunch here. Nice pub food, nothing fancy but good after a walk. Had a drink and a chat to the friendly barman. Old school pub well worth visiting if you are in the area.
Good food and friendly staff. Restaurant booking is recommended during peak season. The bar will also sell you milk, cheese, and butter if you are camping and need supplies.
We happened upon this place when camping nearby (Moss Side Farm) what a brilliant find it was, food was cooked brilliantly, large portions of truly lovely homemade, satisfying food. I had the steak pie, this can only be described as a slab of beef in pastry, fantastic!!
