I am writing to express my profound disappointment with the recent visit to your establishment. My friends and I, a group of 28 people from Denmark, were excited to enjoy a night out at your bar in Liverpool. However, the experience was marred by terrible management and service. The incident began when we were told that vodka shots were priced at £2 each. I decided to purchase some, but then your staff abruptly changed the price to £4 per shot because it was considered a shot and not a drink. This inconsistency was already frustrating. To make matters worse, I then inquired about cheaper shots, and your staff informed me that they were £2 each. I explicitly asked for confirmation due to the previous pricing confusion. Despite this, when the shots were poured and totaled £25 for 10, I reminded the bartender of the earlier price agreement. Instead of resolving the matter calmly, your manager intervened in an irrational and aggressive manner, shouting at me. I calmly explained the situation to both the bartender and the manager, but the manager insisted that the earlier discount had expired, despite it being mentioned just moments prior. When I declined to make the purchase due to the unfair treatment, the manager had security forcibly remove me from the premises. I subsequently spoke with the security staff, who agreed that your bar's management and practices were unacceptable. It was a shocking experience that resulted in not only my group leaving but also losing 28 potential customers, which constituted 95% of the customers that evening. Not surprising because of the quality and customer service. This incident reflects poorly on your establishment, and I strongly urge you to address the issues of inconsistency, aggressive management, and poor customer service immediately. We came to your bar with high hopes and left thoroughly disappointed. In all honesty rather than being a bar I and others including some staff would rather describe it as a tourist trap scamming people. If I could give it a negative score I would. Worse spend money in my life.
Big group of us, went there after the Film premier of Bolans Shoes, staring Timothy Spall and Leanne Best. Had a great time not sure what time we left but early morn, , well worth goin,
Go there as a regular with my friend group. Used to go most Monday nights and the DJ with the glasses on is amazing. He has any song you could ever ask for, and if he doesn’t have it he’ll download it from YouTube for you. Me and my friend always sing Man Or Muppet from the muppets movie and it’s great.
Came in for 1st drink of the evening as passing and would not return again. Time was about 7.30pm and nearly everyone in there was already drink some extremely drunk. Had one drink and run. It was not for me. Staff where friendly and efficient.
Love woodies for a good sing song.. we often visit woodies on our pub crawls.. being just around the corner from concert square. Great atmosphere friendly people..
