I had the pleasure of dining at the Shipping Forecast last night, and it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was inviting, with a nautical theme that transported us to the high seas. Danielle, our waitress, deserves special mention. She was an absolute gem, providing attentive and friendly service throughout the evening. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she guided us to some of the most delectable dishes and beers the bar had to offer. The culinary delights at the Shipping Forecast are nothing short of exceptional. The mixed grill was fresh and flavourful, a testament to the bars commitment to quality. In conclusion, the Shipping Forecast is a hidden gem in the world of student dining/drinking. With its exceptional cuisine, welcoming ambiance, outstanding service, and outstanding prices, it's a must-visit for anyone looking for an unforgettable culinary experience. And a heartfelt thank you to Danielle, who made our evening even more memorable with her warm and impeccable service. We'll be returning soon to set sail on another gastronomic adventure!

My boyfriend and I were left quite disappointed, as tourists who wanted to try the authentic English Pub experience. Immediately after ordering via QR code, (ergo after giving them our money) they communicated us that there would be a longer wait for some reason. And I understand, it can happen, no big deal. To kill the wait we decided to go grab a beer, and then, after showing our identity card as requested, we found out that they couldn't serve us cause we didn't have a passport or a English driver license or a freaking RESIDENCE PERMIT. Food was good and the staff was nice tho. I'm really sorry because the place is very pretty, and I was looking forward to enjoy my lunch.

Great place for students with food and beer. If you are student they have a discount in beers. I really liked the place because most of the pubs has only beer and drinks and at The Shipping and Forecast we can have both.

Went there for lunch with friends. Many choices for food, good with a big group of people with different “likes”! Had the fishnchips £6 and the deepfried king prawns £4.95! Amazing flavours, quick to the table! Good value but yummy tastes. The cod’s batter is excellent, light and thin. Everything good as what u expect! Friendly staff:)
