My family and I ate at The Crown at Tolldown on Christmas Day. The food and service was excellent! Kirstie was brilliant in accommodating all of our requests when booking the table and Cora who served us on the day was also brilliant! A book and toy was given to our 2 year old daughter on the day which was a lovely touch and helped to keep her entertained in her high chair. Thank you again, we highly recommend
Stayed and had dinner last night, breakfast this morning with friends meeting up from all corners of the UK. Really lovely rooms, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The dinner menu was great, causing dilemmas on what to order. The food was delicious. But probably the highlight was the service - friendly, funny, non-intrusive and a whole lot of puppy conversation! Thank you!
Came here for a Friday date night dinner, easy to find, plenty of parking. Service was great, everyone was welcoming, friendly and attentive. The food was amazing, proper country pub vibes with the fire place roaring away. We had 2 courses, starters were lovely, perfect amount of food! Mains were so tasty we had the pie & mash and the venison faggots, both were really good, top quality food and presentation was also a bonus! We already plan on coming back here for another dinner!
We were lucky enough to spend a couple of nights at this fabulous pub. Everything from the room to the food and staff were absolutely brilliant. It was easy to get to and convenient for many great places to visit. The evening menu was very reasonably priced and the food was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it just for the hospitality alone. Many thanks to all the staff for such a lovely stay.
