Outstanding country pub. Service and food were exceptional. Highly recommended.
Met a friend for lunch on a Tuesday and the place was buzzing! Barman very friendly and welcoming, let me try the beer before buying and was not phased when he came to take our order at least twice before we were ready. Plenty of choice on the menu, I had the pulled aubergine (who knew?) and it was tasty. Definitely will visit again soon.
Stopped here to break a long journey. It’s quite close to the M4 but it’s about a mile down a narrow road. We arrived about 4:30 but although they were open they weren’t serving food until 5pm so we ordered some drinks and waited. Once the kitchen opened we were served pretty quickly and the food was good
Really lovely pub, with large garden and well decorated inside. The standout for me was the desserts - would go again! It’s a dog friendly establishment too.
Everything was outstanding. The Sunday roast was absolutely delicious, the vegetables were fresh and tasty. The lamb was so tender it literally fell apart. It wasn't cheap at 18.95 and 2.95 for the optional add on of cauliflower cheese, however the meal was worth every penny. The perfect cosy pub on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Our server was friendly and attentive. I cannot recommend enough!
