It was a Friday night when I visited, and a bit too loud, and busy for me so I sat outside feeling a bit glum. Hopefully I can come back on a quieter day, and have a higher opinion of the place

Went in for a monday night quiz. Good atmosphere in the pub, but my god the quiz just dragged. The hashtag quiz host managed to run for 3 hours. Allbeit started slightly later than the billed time of 8.00pm. But it was gone 11 before he then finished the actual quiz. No actual music in a music round either. It was okay for a night but sorry to say became dull and very uninteresting after about the 2nd hour if not before. I mean he ran all the way to last orders. Didn't help it was somewhat quiet where we has sat as the host had just 1 speaker that pointed away from us. Just a point but its called SPEEDQUIZZING everything about the night was just slow. Pub was good, beer was reasonably priced. Quiz on the other hand not so.
Went in and got treated like a mug right off the bat, woman behind the bar greeted me with her bitter atitude and when i asked to buy something she said she wont let me buy it with card unless i got a drink. Almost 4 quid for a coke what a joke
Land lady was rude as soon as i spoke to her, seemed like she was mad that she had to actually get up rather than sitting and doing nothing in this otherwise baren pub. Tried to buy a snack but yet again was met with a rude response that id have to buy a drink aswell. £3.40 for a coke? Absolutely having a laugh. Wouldnt have paid that anyway but after being treated like a criminal just for wanting a bag of nuts i immediately turned around. Horrible experience wont be returning

The Woodley Arms is a large friendly pub located in Woodley, next to the shopping precinct. We have regular karaoke on Wednesday & Saturday Nights & live acts every Friday night. Every Thursday we hold Rock n Roll Bingo, with prizes.
