An old coaching inn midway between Peterborough & Lincoln, now just set back from the A15 (just off A52) it is ideal place to take a break from a journey or meet friends or business associates (meeting rooms available by the hour). Have a coffee and freshly baked pastries, a ploughman's lunch with bread baked on the premises with a glass of Aspall's Suffolk cyder or Bateman's XB brewed in Lincolnshire.
The lovely beer garden only needs good weather to to make it the perfect place to relax.
Children are welcome and they will certainly enjoy the range of ice cream while their parents relax with a drink of their choice.

I came here for a dinner with my friend and I was blown away with the quality of the food. The burger was one of the best I've ever had. Our waiter George was incredibly friendly and delivered impeccable service. I highly recommended this pub.
My recent dining experience at The Witchcoat Arms was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere exuded warmth and sophistication. The service was impeccable, reflecting the highest standards of hospitality. The culinary journey was a delight to the senses. Each dish was a masterpiece, skillfully crafted and bursting with flavors that tantalized the taste buds. The attention to detail in both presentation and taste truly elevated the meal. Moreover, the staff's attentiveness and knowledge added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. Their recommendations and accommodating nature made the experience truly memorable. I wholeheartedly recommend The Witchcoat Arms to anyone seeking a perfect blend of remarkable cuisine and top-tier service. This establishment has raised the bar for excellence in dining, and I can't wait to return for another extraordinary meal.
We went there for a meal, which was good and definitely going to go back. Even the usual "burger" that others do stood out from the normal plain taste, which is what you would. The menu when I went had quite a gamey option but the menu does change every couple of months or so. I recommend going.
The Sunday roasts are absolutely incredible - better than what you get at home! The normal menu is fantastic too - really talented chef. The staff are lovely and welcoming and I would not hesitate to recommend this diamond of a great in to anybody. Also there is a lovely grocery shop and craft shop on site for gusts and essentials. Five star.
Had Sunday lunch there and as we were not booked they found a table for 6, service and staff very friendly and as I'm a bit of a food buff , I have to say we would give the Whichcote arms 10 out of 10 food was served hot and fresh all the roast meats excellent. The pub has some great history and has also gone a very professional refurbishment which adds to the ambiance of the building would recommend the food and service you will not find better . Thanks for a great Sunday lunch it made the day M&J
