Lovely Sunday carvery. Managed to squeeze us in even though we didn't book. Just spotted the signs on the main road and dropped in. Great value and filled us right up. Nice beer and friendly staff.

Came here for a Sunday Carvery. They are only open on Sundays and you do need to make a reservation. Atmosphere was a bit rowdy but that is not something you can predict although the table allocations could have been done differently to separate families from adult-only groups and couples. Opted for the beef and pork, plus a sausage in bacon, and helped myself to potatoes, veg and gravy. Sadly not one component of the plate was up to the standard I was expecting. Meat was very tough and overdone, potatoes were ok although the mash was underdone and lumpy. Gravy was watery and bland. Overall, I've had a lot better for the same if not less outlay than the £15.95 they charge per adult. The only saving grace for me was that the staff were polite and we weren't kept waiting.

Birthday Celebrations I visited with a group of 23 on Friday evening mixture of adults & children of different ages, We booked & preordered our food as it was a large group. Everyone loved the cosy atmosphere with the fire and the food was amazing everyone commented on the food quality and how big the portions were! Highly recommend for families, couples or a group of friends you will have a fantastic evening. Will definitely be back would check on Google and Facebook as it’s not open everyday which is understandable but does state all opening times on these sites and on the automatic reply on messenger!

The pub and surrounding village were very pretty and leafy. A gem - we will bring friends here when people visit. Service was friendly, meals arrived quickly. Lamb and steak could have been a little more tender, but we enjoyed our meals. Looking forward to coming back.
