The Crask is like a warm hug that welcomes you from whatever journey, good or bad, that brought to their beautiful slice of highland heaven. If you haven’t been since the Inn was handed over to Shane and Mac, you should. The Inn is bursting with life and comfort and joy. Shane has changed the pub offerings to be as good as any pub in Inverness while maintaining the feeling of being in your mates living room. Food and service are high quality while not being alienating and maintaining the feeling of being family. Good and filling local food. Come for a pint, a meal, a chat, a fire, the friendly atmosphere, a room, to hike or bike, just come to the Crask Inn
September 2023: Wow! Shane was super welcoming. IN the most remote pub in the UK, nothing was too much bother for 2 weary travellers. A roaring fire, a few pints of on tap bitter beer and he even allowed us to use the microwave and charge our power station. This is a wonderful pub in exceptional surroundings and well worth a visit if ever venturing up to the Scottish Highlands. Thank you so much.
Amazing unique place and location. Had a great time here. Managed to get a room as the midges were terrible. No food was available as we hadnt booked ahead, but we were allowed to cook our eve meal in the bar on our camping stove.
A stay here is an experience rather than a mere overnight stop. We stayed just as the existing couple who run the place were handing over to a new family from the USA. All lovely people and I'm sure the new proprietors will do a fantastic job. We had a lovely home cooked meal served as a communal meal to the guests. Breakfast was freshly cooked and spot on. The Inn is very remote, no WiFi but there is just about a mobile phone signal. Highly recommended. I can't wait to go back.
I was cycling north, passing through Crask and was pleasantly surprised to find this place open! Tasty breakfast roll, coffee and cake. The host was welcoming and has an excellent knowledge of the area (with great recommendations that saved me having to cycle over quite a few hills!). Brandy the dog is adorable. I also met a couple of other cyclists who stopping by for breakfast. Wonderful to have a such a friendly place in the middle of nowhere!
