DONT CHOOSE THE TRIFFLE for desert, it was awful, rubbery jelly( had to prize it out of the dish with my spoon)& topped with runny custard with a very unpleasant flavour. I do love a slant on a traditional dessert BUT this is NOT GOOD!!! 🤢
This is a restraunt with rooms not any kind of hotel. Front of house lady that checks u in at the bar. Maybe shouldn't be a front of house or the face of a bar/room for let. The restraunt was a nice enough place. I wouldn't say it was a a friendly place to stay. More of a locals bar. The younger girls that work behind the bar and serve food are really nice and chatty. First nite the room door wouldn't lock and handle was hanging off. Moved room late on. I kinda felt like people staying in the rooms where a kind of an inconvinence to the bar staff. It's maybe under staffed I dunno. I probs wouldn't stay there again. I'd definitely eat there again but not stay. I think a more friendly person to welcome people would help the place. The older lady that checks u in could not be anymore unhappy at having to check u in. And trying to get a convo from her was near on impossible.
Sunday Lunch and staff brilliant. Good selection and great sides. Kids meal and dessert half portion of the adult is great value.
Lovely surroundings and comfortable and spacious but very noisy due to echoey pub down the corridor; a match on apparently ! Beautiful food but servers not very attentive nor knowledgeable about fish of the day nor the wine unfortunately. This restaurant could be very good !
WOW, the food is incredible. First time coming back since new ownership and can’t wait to come again. Beautiful decor and great food! Sensible prices too
