What’s Small Bar? Well, firstly we are a craft beer bar. Our passion is to provide to the Bristol public the very best beers that the UK has to offer, and provide a bar team who are passionate, approachable and engaging. Further to this we recognise that not everyone is into beer and that some folk’s passions are different to ours. We aim to, we hope, offer a selection of all drinks and foods which will incite interest and excitement into whoever walks through our door!
What’s the name all about?. Well, Small Bar is named to reflect the makers of the products we aim to represent. Small companies, focused on making their product the best it possibly can be. The name also tells a different story however. It acts as a reminder to the people running the business of the motivations and aims set out when the bar was founded. Small Bar is a platform to showcase the best of the independents. We believe that the cornerstone of providing a great environment for you to enjoy, is to focus on quality of product and quality of service first, and the size of our profit margin second. The bar is a free of tie premises who’s driving motivation is to stay small, to stay independent, and to show that to be great, you don’t have to be big!.
We've been eating and drinking Small Bar since its very early days, a firm favourite for lunch once a week. Quite possibly the best Korean fried chicken in the south west.
Out in a Tuesday mid Sept. So not representative, but.. What a lovely pub. I went for the craft beer and wasn't disappointed. Not many stronger ones on. Had a Deya, so that's a great start. Plenty of room. Nice out door space. Knowledgeable staff. No idea on food. Pete Brown likes it so that's a good enough recommend
The best bar on King Street by a distance. Always excellent beer choice with Wings Diner providing the best Fried Chicken in Town. Dirty Fries and/or 2 Pieces definitely best of the bunch.
Great pub in a slightly quieter corner of King St. The beer selection was really good and the food was amazing! My Korean chicken burger took a while to arrive, but it was worth the wait 😋
I had the Dirty Fries, and it was very good. I would change the cheese that goes on it though, as this is the bit I didn't like much... I think it would have been much better if the cheese would be a bit stronger in flavor, like parmesan. All the rest was great, the staff was polite and helpful, and the ambiance was ok. Go there!
