Popped in for a drink & ended up having lunch, service was great & food was nice & fresh, real fresh chips unlike you usually get in a pub! Great dog friendly pub
We had a fantastic time and will be back. The food was delicious, well presented, and good value for money. The staff were excellent, very friendly and professional.
The ambiance of the place set the stage for what turned out to be an exceptional dining experience. But let's talk about the main event: the roast dinner. The roast was nothing short of spectacular. Each component on the plate was cooked to perfection. The meat, succulent and flavorful, melted in my mouth, indicating the care and expertise that went into its preparation. The vegetables were a revelation - not just an afterthought, but stars in their own right, roasted to bring out their natural sweetness and depth of flavor.
Very disappointed in the meal we had here. For the price i would have expected better. The portions were small too. Paid a lot of money for not a lot of food. Won't be back. We had travelled quite far as it had some good reviews online. Maybe just an off day for them.
Very nice! I stayed in one of the rooms above the pub, and it felt luxurious compared to the rest of my holiday. The rooms were very clean, apart from 2 spiderwebs. The bathroom was very nice and spacious, plenty of hot water. Beds were super comfortable. I thought I would hear noise from the pub, but there was barely anything, nothing that disrupted my sleep (Pub closes at 23). Breakfast was also taken care of, you had tea and walkers, a small chocolate roll, powdered coffee, and cereal.. There's a communal kitchen with a nice lounge space. There's basic stuff in the fridge like milk, drinks, butter, etc. We could enter and leave the hotel at any time, since we had the key to the back door ourselves. All and all a very pleasant experience, definitely recommended.
