This is one of the best Hotels I have been to by far. The Manager Steve is very courteous, professional and friendly and this excellent attitude can be seen in all the other members of staff i.e. Kitchen, Cleaning/room service, reception, etc. My stay here has been very peaceful and pleasant and I enjoyed every bit of it. Thanks to Steve, Craig, Brian and the rest of the team.
Went there for a meal and a dance. Nice food, good prices and an excellent ballroom.
I've been running a golf weekend to deeside for nearly 7 years, we've always stayed at the legion, the accommodation is basic, but ticks all the boxes for what we need, the breakfast in the morning it very good quality (especially the black pudding). The food in the bar is also very good. They have a decent sized lounge with a pool table and jukebox, and they also have a snooker room, too. The staff are absolutely brilliant.

Beautiful location, amazingly friendly staff and the food was excellent. Overnight was very quiet and our room was very clean. Highly recommend if you’re looking for somewhere central to stay in Banchory.
