The three dedicated bar lounge areas surrounding the vast main bar overlook the double floor-to-ceiling cellar windows, allowing guests a unique view of the stillaged cask ales and extensive wine displays.
The elegant Circle Room, with its full gable end window and enormous chandelier gives a real feeling of space. Beyond the 25 foot stainless steel and chrome Carvery buffet, is the Gilbert Suite. With its own bar, the Gilbert is a fabulous room ideal for bookings of 6 up to 80.
The immaculately kept gardens surround seating for up to 200 guests. On cooler days, the heated, covered al-fresco terrace provides a picturesque dining and drinking area for all seasons.

We were several couples and young children and came for the carvery and play area. Food was really good, meat gets carved for you and you load your plate up with sides, plenty of choice and all really well cooked. Service was fantastic, it was really busy but we weren't kept waiting at all, to sit or order. our server (Marc) was fantastic, really accommodating and helpful with anything we asked for.
Brilliant day out here for lunch with friends. staff were pleasant and couldn't be more helpful even though it was so busy food was really nice well presented and really really tasty would definitely go back and planning it already
Albeit a regular Almond customer I've not been here for about 4yrs. Quality experience throughout even though it was very busy when we arrived. Went for the large plate & even managed to eat it all. Fully recommended & we will be back soon. 👍
A perfect spot on a sunny day with friends and family. If you are in the area, do walk to the spot, as the road that takes you there is quite pleasant. Inside must be nice as it was kind of full when we arrived just after 12pm on a Sunday, but outdoor seating area was super nice too. Vegan burger was delicious and my friend who had fish and chips said it was amazing.
We visited for the first time today. Lovely pub on the outside and the inside. Plenty of parking and seating inside and outside. Dog friendly with a cute barrel style water station. Food was excellent and arrived promptly. Service was the best we have received in a very long time which has prompted my review. We were served by Marc who was lovely, friendly and polite. Thank you Marc for making our visit a lovely one. You are a credit to the Almond Pubs family :)

The Duke of York is just outside Stockport town centre on the A6 heading towards Buxton. It has well-appointed en suite letting rooms and an enclosed courtyard to the rear, which is a real suntrap in the summer.
