Perfect Stay. Amazing and friendly staff. Pleasant room. Definitely recommending the Ben Nevis Inn if you would like to have a nice stay. 5 ☆ also for the Soup of the day. We loved it. Thank you!

We reserved two nights at the Nevis Bank Inn. The first night the bed smelled horrible like the worst body odor you can imagine combined with someone being ill. My husband, myself and our baby were sharing the bed. Our seven-year-old son was sleeping on the couch made into a bed. My husband went down to the front desk and asked for a different room or at least a clean bed because we simply could not sleep on the bed. I nearly threw up because of the smell and our baby should not have been subjected to the horrible and unclean conditions. The smell was like someone’s horrible body odor during an illness. When my husband went down on the first night, he was told at the front desk that they had no other rooms for us and that we would have to talk to the manager in the morning. We were not offered fresh linens or even extra blankets. Because of the unacceptable smell we had to sleep on top of our blankets and we nearly froze as the thermostat was not working. We could not turn on the heat and I was quite chilled during the night. The next morning we did talk with the manager who told us they would look into it while we were out that day. We were not offered sympathy or any sort of compensation for the miserable night we spent. When we returned for the second night, we were told that they changed the mattress cover in addition to the sheets. According to what we were told they do not change the mattress cover after every guest stays. Gross. Despite the fact that we had small children and moving to another room or accommodation would have been a challenge, we would have been willing to move rooms or would have moved to a different hotel. However, we were told there were no other rooms available at Nevis Bank Inn and when we called other hotels, we were told they were full. We were forced to stay another night in unsanitary conditions. We had requested a new mattress but they refused to change the mattress. The bed still smelled but not nearly as much as the first night because they had changed the sheets and the mattress protector. This is clearly an issue with the accommodation and the training of the staff. They should have taken care of us the first night when the issue was reported. We have complained but they have fought us and say we are lying about the issues we had. I feel that others deserve to know truth about Nevis Bank Inn prior to booking a room.

Ended the West Highland Way here and it was wonderful. Friendly staff, great restaurant and they offered to take my luggage upstairs to the 3rd floor. I refused, but it was a kind gesture. Next day walked to the top of Ben Nevis and back from the hotel. Had a feast at the restaurant that evening. Highly recommend.

Stayed for three times and everyone in this hotel has been doing such an amazing job! Rooms were spotless, food was absolutely fantastic in the restaurant. Staffs at the reception and restaurant were always so welcoming, friendly and helpful. My favourite hotel in Scotland:)
