Popped in for dinner today. The first time we have been. Will definitely be going back. Food was great and the staff very friendly. Had to take our pudding home too full . Thank you
This is such a lovely place to stay. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming with great food. The hotel room was very spacious with a very comfy bed and a huge bath that was very appreciated after a long days out.
I can't comment on the hotel rooms but I visit the restaurant regularly and I love it. Friendly staff, great menu with amazing special offers and lovely atmosphere. The portions are generous particularly of the potato skins and garlic mushroom starters. The pasta dishes are always lovely as are the chicken dishes.
Quiet and out of the way but only 15 minutes to Durham by car. Excellent restaurant. No dedicated check in and staff can be busy in the bar and restaurant so knocked off one star as I can't give it 4.5. However excellent value for money and may well be back.
Great location, atmosphere and wonderful staff. We stayed here last min, but would stay again. Only downside is the rooms need a little tlc, but for the price you pay, you cannot moan. Very good price and breakfast comes with that. I’m a veggie and have a potato starch allergy and I was looked after with a delicious breakfast. The chef made sure there was no potato starch in my food and was very polite and made me feel it was no problem for him. All in all, I recommend this pub/restaurant/hotel!!
