Oh my.. the food was exquisite.. and reasonable prices for the level of quality and expertise on display. The service was exemplary and cannot be faulted. I'm tempted to go back and try the other dishes I had my eye on.. The decor is surprisingly modern and light on the inside. It has been remodelled well, with unisex toilets, though could possibly do with another as there was often a polite queue in the corridor.. Would definitely recommend, and I recommend booking. Our meal was 3 courses, with an aperitif and a bottle of wine.
I love this place as it is always welcoming, warm and friendly. The food and drink are fabulous. From the big windows you can see the river and bridge which is a lovely countryside view. Sometimes you can even see swans. It’s also a dog friendly place so you can feel free to bring along your four-legged family.
Had an enjoyable family (11 people) gathering on a sunday. We were given a table in an area that made it almost exclusive to us. Meal was excellent and service brilliant. Outside area for a warmer day looked perfect with the river running by. A little flooded on the day of our visit though. Swans didn't seem to mind!!
What a pub to go - location, relaxed vibes, river views and cold brews to finish it all off. The staff were friendly and the food didn't take long to arrive. We had the Maybush burgers on gluten free buns which were ok, but really lacked enough salad to go with them. We went on Monday afternoon so crowds weren't a problem, but Saturdays and Sundays would be packed here. Loads of parking next to the pub, but I would try to park across the road next time as it would have been way easier to get out of there. If you do park next to the pub and you're trying to leave, don't forget to get out of your car and push the pedestrian button so it triggers the traffic lights to give you the green light! Definitely worthy of a return visit to try something else on their menu.
Lovely pub garden with plenty of tables on the grass or decking by the River Thames. Great Pizza in one Shepard’s hut and entertainment in another. Friendly owners/managers. Maybush Pride was a fun weekend too with the bonus of with a wide selection of special ciders.
