About us

Charming and historic pub, with restaurant extension, in conservation area of the village with the river Bourne flowing past in winter. The window in the larger bar is reputed to come from a galleon. The long-standing landlord is as enthusiastic and proud of his high quality food as he is of his ales. Four beers change weekly and include local and occasionally those from further afield. The pub welcomes walkers and dogs.

Lovely friendly cosy pub with an open fire, i went to visit a friend that I've not seen in over 30 years and had meal drinks here. Staff was very welcoming, and the service was outstanding. The food was really nice and well presented. A must visit lovely place thank you.

Not just a meal out, but such a pleasurable experience. The Mallet Arms is that rare thing these days a proper village pub. It exudes a warm welcome. With good food and staff who understand customer care. What a gem of a find.

It was bitterly cold on the day we visited and we had to wear our overcoats throughout the meal. To be fair we are not frequent eaters out,but the prices seemed high for what we actually had,and it was not a great choice menu wise of normal pub fayre. The staff were very pleasant ,but no,not my scene, although not awful not memorable either.

The Malet Arms is a fantastic pub in a lovely village. Food is always outstanding, and today was no different. I’d say come and order the Triple chillie pork sausage, with spicey mash, but the menu changes all the time depending on what is available.

The Marlet Arms Pub in Newton Tony offers a warm and traditional dining experience, enhanced by the exceptional staff. Their friendliness and attentive service made the visit truly memorable. The meal began with a tasty charcuterie platter, followed by a perfectly cooked roast beef main course. The dessert, a hot cross bread and butter pudding, provided a satisfying conclusion. The combination of delicious food, welcoming atmosphere, and outstanding staff made the Marlet Arms Pub a delightful destination where the essence of British cuisine shone through.
