Welcome to the Crown Inn Cholderton a family run, traditional thatched country pub in a beautiful part of the Wiltshire countryside. Situated in the village of Cholderton on the A338 between Salisbury and Tidworth and close to Stonehenge and Woodhenge.
Our Chef and Landlord Tim is passionate about good food. The dishes Tim creates are seasonal and as many of the ingredients as possible are sourced from local suppliers.
The result is an ever changing blackboard menu of homemade, cooked to order dishes from snacks and traditional favourites to posh nosh. Add the finishing touch of delicious tempting puddings created by Chef Jack and you have the perfect meal for any occasion.
The Crown usually offers 2 good real ales at any one time, featuring local breweries whenever possible. We also offer a range of ciders, lagers and wine and now hold a very popular annual beer and cider festival showcasing various breweries and a wider choice of ales and ciders.

This evening I went for supper at this establishment with family. Lovely country pub. Being December & Christmas time, on arrival I found the Crown Inn to be beautifully decorated and very welcoming with a warm fire. The pub does have low beams,so if you are tall you need to navigate that. The staff are attentive and the table service is very good. A varied menu with exquisite food and quality napkins. The chocolate brownie with raspbery/chocolate ice cream was exceptional & has to be the best brownie dessert I have had. Highly recommended! I will most definitely be dinning here again. 😊
The most amazing food I have ever had!!! Large portions, so much taste and just incredible!!! Staff were wonderful and attentive and its a gorgeous pub!! Best place I've been to!! And they're dog friendly!!
Great food - homemade, freshly cooked. Good ale. Warm and cosy. Made to feel very welcome.
We met up here with family on holiday in the area, chosen due to location & dog friendly. A very warm welcome at the bar & they found us an earlier table. The staff were all charming and attentive. It was fully booked but we did not have to wait long for our meals. We all opted for the mixed roast which was delicious & absolutely faultless. Plenty of everything, meat very moist & tender, lovely selection of veg, pigs in blankets, stuff & Yorkshire pudding. We managed to eat it all & had room for tasty desserts. We live 30 minutes away but will be back!
Very nice food, really well presented. Lovely staff and dog friendly.
