About us

Little Manor in Old Thelwall was built in 1660 for the Percival family, whose coat of arms we found painted on an interior wall. Naturally, we have adopted the crest as our pub sign and are very proud of our heritage. Since being a family house it has obviously been extended and enlarged many times but we believe it still exudes character in spades, offering different environments to dine and drink, next to roaring fires or overlooking our lovely gardens and the village green beyond.

The bar sits at the heart of the building, offering an endless array of interesting spirits, local cask ales and an extensive range of good quality but affordable wines.

We pride ourselves on offering fresh, vibrant dishes which our team of chefs change regularly to reflect the seasons and offer great variety to our many regular customers.

We haven't been here for some time but decided to stop by on the way back from our walk on Boxing day. We got a table straight away, the place was busy but not crammed, great atmosphere. Lovely service, we got served quickly and the food was amazing. My husband had the pork belly, said it was the best pork he ever ate and I had the jackfruit curry. It was very delicious. We both had the white chocolate cheesecake for dessert and enjoyed it very much. It was a treat because it's a little pricey but well worth it. Highly recommend the Little Manor. We will visit again soon

Been coming here for years and watched the prices steadily rise. Great atmosphere, food OK pub food, couple of cars circling looking for a space and all tables full with happy dinners/drinkers/dogs. They obviously have their fingers on the pulse and charge accordingly.

we booked a table for seven 1:30pm on friday. the restaurant area was almost full. we orderded starters and main meals. the soup , squid, wood pigeon and bratwrust sausage were tasty. the fish and chips was value for money. the chips were crispy and the fishes were fresh. Only one fillet of the spicy sea trout was served, although it was delicious but a bit in small size. the crispy beef salad was delicious, it served with mixed chinese vegetable.

1st visit and won't be the last, had a lovely meal, late lunch, interesting surroundings lovingly inspired interior, even to the planting in the car park, which is beautiful. Our waitress was friendly, and very attentive. Couldn't fault anything we ordered, food and service excellent. Hidden gem, bar area with seating, several locals with well behaved dogs in which is nice to see. Had the Sunday roast recommended so will be paying them a visit again soon !
