Come on down and try our real ales which include Timothy Taylor Landlord, Boltmaker and Batemans XB. Our 3 comfortable bed and breakfast rooms are next the pub.
The Cross Swords Inn dates back to the 1830s and is now the remaining pub in the village.
The Cross Swords is quite sentimental as was the first pub as a child Charlotte was taken too with her parents then many of her teen years were spent here.
Full of enthusiasm Garry and Charlotte would like this traditional pub to be the heart of the village and a great place for families to enjoy some fantastic food and drink.
A lovely atmosphere awaits where you can feel welcome either alone or in company.
Timothy Taylors Landlord and Boltmaker has proved firm favourites along with XB so these will be our regular ales and with a perfectly equipped cellar we really do pride ourselves with serving a perfect pint!
Serving homemade traditional pub favourites such as our best seller 'Skilli pie' (Charlotte's grannies secret recipe), sausage and mash and fish and chips, we also have a changing specials board and our theme nights.

Only stayed in the accommodation which we found really well presented, clean and more than adequate. Also the price is very competitive. Ideal stopover.
Stayed here for 2 nights and everything was perfect. Parking right outside the door and everything immaculate. Will definitely be back! Thank you so much.
What a lovely little place to stay I stayed her with my little girl for the night as I was having renovations at home we both slept like babies rooms are lovely and clean with everything you need for a perfect stay 🩷
Lovely pub on the way to Colsterworth. We visi when log burner was on, it was a great amount of heat coming out of it, and lonely glow Guinness tastes great. Lady (owner I think) helped us getting bearing how to get to Colsterworth by walking public footpaths, she is lovely and very friendly. Would definitely come back. thank you
We had booked a room for one night, a few days before I emailed to see if we could book a table for dinner, unfortunately we were told they could only prepare something cold as they were having a 'day off' seemed strange for a Saturday night in August. Check in was straight forward. The room was clean and of decent size for one night with a mini fridge with 2 bottles of water in and tea and coffee making facilities. We went out for a walk round the village with our dog and planned to pop in the pub for a drink but it was closed! It was only 6.45pm. If we had know all this information we probably wouldn't have booked the room. It's such a shame as my partner, who popped in to the pub on arrival to check in, said the pub was really cute. This place could be a little goldmine and community hub, maybe it is and they don't need the business 🤔
