Within easy reach of the market towns of Stamford, Melton Mowbray and Grantham, the picturesque countryside of the Vale of Belvoir and England’s smallest county Rutland, the Tollemache Arms provides an ideal base to explore the local area with country houses, fishing, walks, cycling routes and even a gliding club are nearby.
Now under a new management team the Tollemache Arms offer a warm welcoming and relaxed family friendly experience. Choose from our traditional pub classics, sandwiches and bar snacks served in the cosy surroundings of our bar to an a la carte dining experience in our main restaurant. Both serve freshly prepared food using locally sourced seasonal produce prepared daily by our Chefs.
The Tollemache Arms has a large garden with plenty of space for al fresco dining and can cater for private parties, group parties, buffets, birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, christenings or any other events, either within the main building or in a marquee outside in the garden with bespoke menus to suit the occasion.

This year I hired the building for a party of 60 people in early November. This was an intricate themed event with interactive elements that required a lot of planning ahead of time, so I booked it early in the year. Every step of the way, Tracey was incredibly accommodating and enthusiastic. Every single dietary requirement was catered to with delicious food (they even specially ordered vegan and nut free desserts), they were intimately familiar with the area and were able to provide information such as local taxis and reccomended parking spaces for guests, the venue itself is rustic and cosy, the staff were fantastic, they were communicative all throughout the year leading up to the event and generally put up with our nonsense! I simply can't recommend the Arms enough. Great for large gatherings and private events. 5/5
We went out for a birthday meal and it was absolutely fantastic, Staff went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience all of them were so polite, happy and helpful! Food was amazing! All really nicely cooked with lots of options! They also let you take left overs home! I can only imagine how nice it would be to stay in such a place!
Lovely little pub/hotel near Grantham Hosts were great. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Me and my wife stayed in a room for 1 night. The meal we had on the night time was fantastic, They're not shy with portion sizes. The cooked breakfast was the best I've had, Again portion sizes they don't scrimp. If we're down that way again, we'll be staying again.
Beautiful countryside pub.everything was lovely except I had company of several large spiders nested in my room so hubby grabbed the hoover and got them down and the meals are huge freshly cooked. I couldn't fault the food it was hot when served and very tasty. Quantity of food could be reduced and still be adequate. Giving less waste and more savings for the owners in the process. Some lovely country lanes to stroll along and some nice local museums and such close to hand.
Super little pub. Needed a place to break up the journey from Oxford to Coningsby. The room was plenty big enough and had all the amenities I needed for my short stay. Dinner in the pub was tasty and the portion sizes were great. The staff were very friendly and made me a takeaway breakfast, as I had to leave too early for breakfast the next morning.
