Not a friendly pub . It is a locals only pub
Not for me - or my son who lives in Hinckley. On the Sunday lunchtime of the Bank Holiday weekend, it had a sign outside saying No Noisy Groups of Young People, or words to that effect. Fair enough. But it also had a sign saying "Regular Customers Only", which was gobsmacking! I wouldn't want to be a regular at such a pub.
Never felt more unwelcome in my life turned up with Mrs n daughter to get turned away as we wasn't regulars went in polite asked for a drink n to see if daughter cos use toilet n got told we wasn't welcome only wanted to go in as my uncle owed the pub by in the 80s
Scruffy pub, free pool table, no real ale, price of pints was reasonable, sky TV, the Rutland seems to have its click of regulars but nothing here to drag in a casual visitor there are better pubs in walking distance
Great local boozer with great selection of beers and ciders. Duke box and pool table make it a good night out
