Fitzroy Davis has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry as Head Chef and Pub Licensee. He rose to the rank of executive chef, working in various 4 and 5-star hotels throughout the UK and abroad.
Katie Warnaby and Fitz Davis took on their first pub together in February 2020 just weeks before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Not put off the by this they re-located from the Fox Inn, Boars Hill, Oxford to the Lamb Chalgrove in February 2022.
Prior to this, Katie led her own Neuroscience research group at the University of Oxford for 10 years but always worked in pubs for fun!.

Lovely pub to visit with friendly staff. Really good selection of beers, spirits etc and a nice menu. Decent sized garden for when the weather is nice. Definitely worth a visit.
Had 2 fantastic meals at this lovely country pub. Plenty of gluten free options. Large car park. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Great value.
Very welcoming atmosphere. Drinks served nicely chilled. The nicely cooked food was brought to the table by very friendly, smiling staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
Brilliant re-find ! We haven’t been here for years but we’re glad we’ve returned. The new owners have really made a difference. The service was very friendly and we noticed a bit of a refurb which makes the place look good. Dog friendly as well. Best of all, the menu is full of great pub classics, at prices not seen around here any more ! There are also a few interesting Caribbean influenced items (I had the mutton curry which was lovely) as well and the food we’ve had so far tasted great and was beautifully presented. We’ll be back and regularly !
I’ve just stayed here on the Brit Stops deal. What a great place. The staff are really friendly and efficient. The food was delicious. We had Caribbean Curry. The locals were great fun to chat to. I hope to return to this very friendly pub. The event calendar looks pretty good too. All in all a very well run pub that deserves to be supported.
