The Stable Room across the courtyard garden allows even more room for guests to dine. There is ample accommodation at the Lamb for visitors to the town, who are just a few moments walk from the historic High Street. Sky TV is available in the bar and shows all major sporting events.
The Lamb is a very traditional pub, the building has been there since 1763.
We pride ourselves on being friendly and welcoming, with good home cooked food and comfortable rooms; all the traditional qualities of an old coaching inn.
The courtyard garden consistently wins regional and local awards for the flowers.
There are seven en suite rooms, which have recently been updated. There is always a great selection of real ales 6X, IPA, and ever changing regular guest ales. Naturally lagers and ciders are on offer including Fosters, Kronenbourg and San Miguel.
Wine lovers are catered for with a varied range of reds and whites.
Gin lovers are well looked after too with the usual suspects along with some more exotic flavours!.

Just stayed for one night but great local pub, owners and staff really friendly . Had a band playing Saturday night so made for a great atmosphere. Dog friendly in rooms always a plus.
Traditional pub with good beer. Saturday night, it was really noisy so we didn't stay long but might return at a quieter time.
Fantastic place lovely outside area. We went on a Saturday afternoon and they had a young man singing and playing a guitar on a stage. Very enjoyable experience. A visit is required.
Just off the High Street, we sat in the courtyard garden on a warm Friday evening. Well-kept Wadworth ales and a good offering of other drinks at reasonable prices. Accommodation available, but we did not need to stay as we live locally.
Excellent stop over . Lovely old pub, unpretentious, with friendly hosts, great breakfast and comfy beds. All fine, spacious room, all you need, clean and nice decor. Only issue...couldn't open bathroom window.
