Not a great place. Pleasant welcome from lady behind the bar but the place was totally devoid of atmosphere. Only one room open with four customers plus me. It was Monday evening though so it may be better towards the weekend. Understandably there was no food available. The beer was just about ok but not very good. I had a pint and left. I wouldn't go again. Give it a miss
We enjoyed a comfortable stay here. The pub itself is currently closed, but there is another pub in the village so an evening meal is readily available close by. Breakfast supplies are provided. The room itself (in an annex next to the pub) was very pleasant with a nice bathroom.
Went in at 6:30. sign outside said food from then. Very unfriendly landlord. Asked us if it's a table for 5. I said yes. Ordered a round of drinks. Seemed to struggle with what the price should be so be aware of that. Sat down got half way through drinks. I went to the bar to ask for menus told no food tonight. Cheers mate. 100% would not go back.
The owners Carol and Trevor are amazing hosts. They pour a tasty pint and serve up delicious homemade meals.
