Used their online booking system for an evening meal, had no dramas when we arrived, service was friendly and efficient, staff had time for a little chat which was nice rather than being treated has a number, the pub is such a lovely place to dine, warm and welcoming, the food was very good, the burger and fries are worth an order , not your usual pub grub burger.
We had a beautiful meal today, we are always searching for roast that we cook at home and they didn’t disappoint….. it was lovely. We had pork belly, lamb and beef roasts and everyone loved there roast options, plus the cheese burger and chips…..the owner was very attentive. Thank you
Wonderful Olde World pub/restaurant with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Food was lovely very attentive service from the staff. Prices are very reasonable. We stayed in a room for the night was comfortable and clean. Had a very good breakfast cooked for us the next morning which set us up nicely for the day ahead. Would definitely recommend a visit to this wonderful place.
Stopped here today for lunch, and it was really good. We both had crispy squid for starters. For mains, I had lamb shank, and my wife had venison linguine. The staff were friendly, attentive, and efficient. One had an excellent dry wit. I couldn't have asked for any more. We would definitely visit here again.
We went to the pub for Sunday lunch and weren't disappointed. A beautiful old English pub with lots of unique features (including hanging tables - I challenge you to eat from out though). A classic Sunday pub menu with four different roast options, all looked very nice and eye reasonably priced. Only comment, which stopped a 5 star review - we felt that the today was slightly lacking on vegetables. Not the usual complaint, but everyone in the group said the same. That said, it was so really nice and well cooked, so just a couple more carrots and potatoes then a top rating. We will be returning. 👍
