We are a beautiful family owned country pub nestled in the picturesque Windrush valley, located in the West Oxfordshire Cotswolds.
Our team prides themselves on serving award winning food and drink. This coupled with a relaxed atmosphere and warm welcome makes The Horse & Radish an ideal destination for either a casual drink or celebratory meal with friends and family.
First time visiting the Horse and Radish and have to say disappointed overall. We sat down at 12:30 and left at 3:30. To say service was slow is an understatement. The food generally was tasty, but some was cold, whilst others (the roast pork in particular), was very fatty and gristly. We did ask for some items to be taken off the bill at the end, which they were. We also said that we wouldn’t pay the 12.5% service charge as the service was so poor. The owners said they were short staffed, but there were lots of staff, mostly carrying one plate at a time, or they would struggle to put plates down as they hadn’t cleared the previous course plates. The decor inside was nice and parking was ample. Sorry didn’t take any pictures really as we were too hungry by the time food arrived. We ordered puddings too, which then took nearly 40 minutes to arrive. All i can say, we tried it, don’t rush to it, and that for £26 per main course for Sunday lunch it was an expensive experience, that didn’t seem to have the best quality ingredients

Absolutely unbelievable. There wasn’t one fault with our experience here! The food was honestly amazing. Would have tried the whole menu and would happily eat here weekly if I were local! The service was incredible. Lovely staff and the owner was very present and chatty which is such a lovely touch. Thank you for a great dinner!
I don’t normally write reviews but I felt I had to call out this gem of a pub. The Horse and Radish is one of the most beautiful pubs I’ve ever been to with a lovely back garden and views over the fields. We had one of the best Sunday roasts I have ever had and the service was exceptional. It is a family run business and you can really feel the heart and soul that’s gone into the pub. It is on the slightly pricier end of the ‘pub Sunday roast scale’ but it is absolutely worth it. Would highly recommend going and I will absolutely be revisiting if I am ever back in the area. We just wish we were closer so we could come more often!
Super pub. We went for Christmas Day lunch - always a big test for a pub. We thought that the H&R maintained its pub atmosphere well while serving a substantial and sophisticated multi-course meal. The food was excellent, service was very good and there was a table entertainer also. Good range of beers. Well recommended.
