This is a wonderful hotel. We were warmly greatest by Nick upon arrival. The room was beautiful with a fantastic view over the reservoir. The food in the restaurant was fine dining heaven, with Nick eloquently describing each dish. Such a lovely hotel, in a beautiful part of the world. Would recommend and will definitely be back
Stunning views from this beautiful art deco hotel, super dog friendly and all the staff were very helpful. Personally would have liked to see more distinction in the brasserie menu in terms of something less fine dining but that’s a small quibble. Would recommend for 1 or 2 nights make sure you take time to explore Haweswater lake which is stunning
A lovey stay for a couple of nights between Christmas and New Year with my dog. A fantastic remote location with walks from the door. A lovely warm welcome and despite the awful weather the hotel provided a warm and cosy atmosphere. The staff were attentive and friendly. I ate in the Brasserie both nights and the food was awesome. I stayed in one of the dog friendly rooms which was clean and spacious with lovely decoration. Would definitely recommend
We had a lovely night at the Haweswater Hotel. Our room was comfortable and well equipped, the food was delicious and the location was excellent for a night off the beaten track! Staff were all lovely, especially the lady who serves us for breakfast (whose name I didn’t catch) she was lovely and had a great sense of humour. To top it all off the hotel is dog friendly which was brilliant.
What an absolutely superb place. Just a gem. Private. Secluded. Off grid. Only staid for the one night but we had afternoon tea in the main room with the Christmas tree & evening meal & breakfast in the brasserie. All staff lovely & unpretentious. Just perfect .
