We went Friday tea time, it was quite busy in the pub, dog friendly everywhere except the restaurant part. Decided to try something different from the menu , I had the rag pudding, fries and mushy peas, with a separate jug of gravy, Diana had the chicken curry half fries half rice , it comes with nan bread,cut into 4 quarters, and side salad, massive portions, but really tasty curry with a kick, this was from the specials board, with a veggie option. Great prices, quick service, fantastic food, recommend booking on Sundays it gets really busy, the best roast dinner in Rochdale
It's okay for a pub friendly grub , nice and reasonably priced
Good local pub. Sadly some of the customers are out for trouble. Think twice before going again. Very sad.
Having been directed to the Hare and Hounds by the barman at the nearby Golden Inn with the promise of good food, expectations were high, and the Sunday roast did not disappoint. The lamb shank was well presented in an accurately described giant Yorkshire pudding with lashings of wholesome gravy and potatoes that were the perfect golden crisp outside and fluffy inside. The cheese and onion pie was richly flavoured with a hearty pastry, meaning our only regret was that our main meals had left us with no room for dessert.
Great atmosphere food was amazing big portions. I've been twice and stuffed my face on the starters they are sooo filling .the mains are even bigger at 1 stage I thought they will have to roll me out I was that full . Would recomend to anyone visiting wardle and the price you won't find better for miles we'll done here and hounds
