The Strawberry Field Tavern is located in the Locks Heath retail shopping centre between Southampton and Fareham and close to attractions such as Titchfield Abbey, the coastal area of Hamble (and not far from the beautiful boating waterfront of Warsash).
Since changing hands to new ownership in December 2015, the Strawberry Field Tavern prides itself on offering you a warm welcome, good food and a large amount and variety of entertainment for its guests including Quiz nights on Tuesday and live music on Friday nights where everyone likes to get up and have a dance!

Had an all day breakfast. It was hot and delicious. Had beer there and I was not happy with the taste. They rectified by supplying a fresh pint. Staff are great, will be back again.
They say its all about "right time, right place". Well spending time here over the festive period was definitely this. We spent a wonderful Christmas Eve there with our adult children. We then spent an evening catching up one evening before NY. Then we spent NY there - a fantastic evening. The atmosphere was fab and the singers great. The staff have certainly helped create a wonderful atmosphere and Lauren is at the front of the cheerful welcome. Looking forward to our next visit!
Dined here last night for the 1st time. We were a party of 5 and one of us had specific dietary requirements, which were discussed when the table was booked. Firstly the person that had dietary requirements couldn't have the meal they wanted as the chef had run out of that dish. So another dish, which wasn't really what they had wanted was ordered. Secondly, one of the meals turned up with I believe were roast potatoes, but, as on my own dish, it was hard to determine, as they were so over cooked, when chips had been asked for when the meal was ordered. It was queried when the meal arrived and the waitress was asked if they could be swapped, but this was refused, and she said " the chef doesn't do that"! So a portion of chips were ordered as a separate dish. Next, my dish, which was Teriyaki Salmon with broccoli and these indistinguishable potatoes. I've never actually seen a smaller portion of Salmon, ever, being served in any restaurant I've eaten in! The broccoli portion was huge in comparison and those potatoes!! Well, I won't repeat what I said when they arrived in front of me. The size of the portions are certainly not reflected in the prices and neither was the quality of the food.
Fantastic place! Great food/menu, lovely portions. Excellent chips. Friendly & polite staff. Clean, straightforward, lovely variety of drinks on offer & display. My new local, super handy when shopping or just fancy a lovely pint of blood orange cider (immensely drinkable!!) - cheers! 🍻
Popped in for a coffee whilst the car was being washed and valetted. As it was mid afternoon it was quiet, which suited me. The place was clean and the staff were hospitable and friendly. Sadly, I've dropped a star as the price for the coffee I felt was a little high for a straightforward basic coffee. Overall, a pleasant way to spend an hour.
