The Duke of York is a welcoming pub" Everyone is welcome to come & have a pint or two, have a crack at the gaming machines, a game of pool or to use the large function room to your advantage. It is a community pub as well as being inviting for tourists or if you are on a pub crawl around Manchester. Although it is discreetly tucked away from the main roads' it is a lovely warm welcoming traditional pub that is a member of the camera magazine. The beer is of great standard although it is awaiting an update in refurb.
Omg. That's a place that I wish could be forever in the spot light 🚦 it's always my place to be. Family welcome laughable funny friendly clean. Oh don't get me started. Thanks for being duke of York.
On arriving the building itself stands out with beautiful architectural features but inside the building hasn't been maintained. The original bar is still there with its wooden panels and features. The place in general didn't look clean and the locals made you feel on edge. There was a presence of drug use on the premises due to the airborne odours present.
Friendly traditional 1890s pub. In more or less original condition. Beer and staff/ clientelle brilliant. Draught beer amazing. Needs lick of paint but well worth a visit. Very quiet on Wednesday. Karaoke friday great fun.
In the Good Beer Guide so you`re sure of a good pint. Nice traditional pub with friendly locals.
