Great hotel, close to Weymouth Harbour and Beach. Perfect base for a mini family getaway. Rooms are clean and modern. Staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended
This was a decent place to stay. I enjoyed our family room, and it worked well for what we needed. We stayed for 3 nights and never once had any cleaning or towel service, which suited us fine, but others may be more upset about this. Despite the room being nice, the back entrance you must use to enter/leave outside of the pub house is in the back alley past dumpsters, and we were never given the code to get in the gate, and had to actively seek someone out to find it during the pub hours. There is not also no good parking for the hotel, the closest is the Pavillion, which is close to a 15 minutes walk away, and is £15 for 24 hours, just just be aware of that before your stay. Overall, the hotel room was nice and fit our needs well, especially for the price, and the location was great, surrounded by restaurants and a block away from the harbor. It is lacking in basic housekeeping skills, but I wouldn't consider that a deal-breaker if it is for a short 1-3 night stay. I'm not sure I would want to stay longer than that.
Good atmosphere, can get busy but not overly packed, you can at least get 2 pints and still get change from a tenner, unlike a lot of pubs these days. Live music is good.
The pub was very busy as you'd expect on a Saturday night with a live band playing. Great music by the way. The bar staff, well lack of observation as to who is next to be served. I/we waited 15 minutes and gave up because 20 years of people were getting served before me. If they know there going to be busy hire extra bar, there's thousands unemployed out there. Even my partner very nearly gave up , unlike me.......... Another customer offered to buy our drinks if she got served first. Nice gesture.
