Situated right in the heart of Highfield in Southampton, close to the open space of the Common and a short distance to the city centre- we welcome everyone from drinkers to diners, families and groups.

We've not been to this pub for something like 25 years so I was pleased to see it was in many way unchanged. We visited it twice, once for evening drinks (good selection of beers, plenty of space and a wide range of different people welcomed there) and once for Sunday lunch. Sunday lunch on that day was a choice of roasts - or indeed all three roasts. Great, simple unpretentious pub food well done and good value. Looking forward to returning next time we're around.

The food here is fresh and real tasty. The roast dinner I had today was outstanding. A very satisfactory size, I even doggy bagged the rest to take home! With a choice of meats, very well cooked variety of veg, alongside roastys, stuffing and a Yorkshire pud. Fantastic! A friendly welcome and service by all. Will definitely be visiting again.
We used to live down the road and this was and still is our local. I planned a suprise party and the crown did not disappoint! Thank you to the lovely staff for preparing a wonderful table and decorations, and making it a fantastic evening.
Four ales on tap and new management have re-introduced the old Crown burger. Tastes even better than I remember and I've been eating them for the best part of a quarter of a century. Happy days...
