Came for a meal before visiting the nearby observatory. Fabulous food, warm welcome, cosy pub, reasonable prices. My pheasant satay skewers were the tastiest dish I've had for years!
we stayed in a motorhome behind the pub, site is great and well located for all amenities. Pub was open Friday / Saturday and Sunday ( Which we frequented regularly. Sunday lunch was awesome, will definitely stay again and thankyou to all the great friendly staff...
Great place for a drinkl and something to eat. Good garden for the summer months and a decent sized pub. Great Sunday roast.
Came to the Crown from neighbouring Middleton-in-Tees after having read in our welcome pack at the holiday cottage that they do a good roast, they were not wrong! I had the chicken and my partner had the multi meat option. All meats cooked perfectly! The flavours were lovely, and there was just enough of everything, we went away full. Definitely be interested to see what their Friday and Saturday menus are like. Dog friendly too which was an added bonus.
Lush food, nice beer and great place, dog friendly and staff were canny :) I had the buffalo cauliflower and it was lush! Mrs. Had the burger and was not disappointed. Menu a little limited but what they do do the do right! Really nice place xxx
