Blacksmiths Arms, Mickleton, a traditional country village dog friendly pub in Teesdale, Co Durham, where a warm and friendly welcome awaits locals and visitors alike.
Ideally situated on the B6277, in the Upper Teesdale village of Mickleton, near Barnard Castle is the traditional old English Pub, aptly named the Blacksmiths Arms.
In 2017 extensive restoration was made to the pub and its decor which have supplemented the historical "blacksmiths" theme and the warm and friendly environment provided by the Licensee, Anthony and his staff, ensure this is a place to relax and enjoy whether as the locals' "local" or visiting alike. Well behaved dogs welcome.
A great, local pub. Cosy and inviting. Very friendly landlord. Could probably do with more choice of beer on tap but not a deal breaker unless it's your local.
Stopped mid walk for a pint: nice beer, nice ambience, "no tea or coffee we're a proper pub" and to it's credit it is. Does top pizza too
Was up there on holiday and called in for a drink and something to eat, was made to feel very welcome by both the landlord and the regulars, wish there were more pubs like this around. It is also dog friendly
What a great little village pub, you are always made to feel welcome by the staff and locals. The pub serves some really good pizzas but be warned they are very popular and once they are gone that's it for the day.
Lovely local pub popular with residents and holidaymakers alike. Very welcoming atmosphere. Bar area and quiet area. Gorgeous home made pizzas. Dog friendly.
