Fantastic food , great little pub and also so fairly priced would have been recommending to ally friends
We had a very lovely lunch here with our friends. Really enjoyed the large choice of craft beers (Old Peculiar is one of their nest at that time) and the food is very good (steak pie is delicious and generous). Telly and a pool table will also entertain you while enjoying time here. Friendly staff and cozy place. Thanks
As usual we had a lovely meal. The steak pie is fabulous and all the food is home cooked and very reasonably priced which is rare these days. We have been going fairly regularly for 30 yrs and can honestly say we have never had a bad meal.
Pie to die for, go with a healthy appetite! Great selection of beer. It feels like a proper old country pub. Landlord is a real gentleman and very sociable.
Came here for as a spur of the moment visit. Pub was really busy, which is always a good sign. Nice selection of drinks avaliable and some decent rums on offer too. Me and my wife decided to skip the starters and went straight for the mains with a couple of sides. We are glad we did as the portions are large. I went for the liver and bacon with mash, and my wife, being a vegetarian, went for the three cheese bake. We both thoroughly enjoyed these. We had a side of onion rings and mushrooms and the onion rings are a highlight for me. We was so full we couldn't face a desert but from one's I saw they looked good. If I am ever back in the area I will certainly call back in. Lovely solid pub food that leaves you full and satisfied.
