Not visited the Ship for a while and I was pleasantly surprised. Food was plentiful, good value for money and more importantly, really tasty. Perhaps it's lost a little of its former quirky charm but still well worth a visit.
Fabulous Food , Well worth a visit ...Have tried lots of dishes on the menu & Everything is delicious. Staff are so friendly , nothing too much trouble ...Best to book as you won't be disappointed .
Our first visit to the Ship Inn, and we will be back. A lovely old pub, but very up together, super smart! Food was lovely and the service was excellent!
My village pub but not been in for a good few months. Had a meal here for my partners birthday last night. Easy to book via the website, requested a table we liked no problem. Staff very friendly, prompt service and food was excellent. It is a little more expensive than other pubs in the area but often you get what you pay for and the food they serve here is not your usual 'pub grub', it is high end restaurant quality and worth the extra cost. I had calamari to start and partner had chilli and lime jumbo prawns, then hamburger and hand cut chips, it was delicious, partner had the mixed seafood & meat paella which was lovely. Very good portions. Usually quiet in the week around 5-6pm busy on Sundays and booking needed. Try it here you won't be disappointed. Recommend it highly.
Our first visit to The Ship this evening, I have to say I have no idea why it's taken me so long to try this place. Lots of people have recommended it and they have every right to, it's a gem. The menu is small but adequate, offering something for every taste. I had chilli and lime jumbo prawns to start followed by steak and ale pie. It was a REAL pie too, short crust pastry just as it should be. Service was excellent, provided by Eva who does everything except cook food it seemed. Can't wait to go back and this time, sample the ales 👍
