Just back from country music weekend and cannot fault the hotel. Staff helpful and friendly, rooms clean and very nice, meals was great...please Carrbridge do not change...doing a great job...hopefully will be back
Stayed here for 4 nights D,B&B as part of a Newmarket tour. I found the hotel to be very clean with excellent staff. Food was of a decent quality with choice of dishes for each course at dinner. Rooms pretty basic with everything you'd expect, but quiet and warm, but not too hot. And, my window opened for ventilation. They even had a piper playing on the Packhorse Bridge one night which is just over the road and an Elvis tribute in the dining room another night. I particularly enjoyed the bar area too with the log burner.
No help to get suitcases up to top floor. Restaurant somewhat chaotic - too many tours sitting down at same time. Rooms not cleaned at all except changing bins.
Probably one of the best stays I have had...including 5 star hotels. It goes well beyond the price you pay. The staff were so helpful and relaxed. They catered to everything we needed with a smile. The room was very comfortable and clean if a little dated looking (what you would expect with a 3 star)The food was outstanding and worth the rural hotel prices. The bar is lovely with friendly locals. I can't fault it. I would definately go back when getting a train up from Glasgow. Thank you to everybody there!
Friendly, helpful and accommodating staff. Check-in was swift. The room was spacious and housed expected commodities commensurate with its star rating. The bathroom had nice facilities and was immaculate. Room service brought surplus milk, free of charge, when the milk for hot drinks ran dry. Delivery was swift. Day staff communicated with night staff about the late expected hour of my return, from a late night cinema jaunt. This allowed me to be let in to an otherwise locked front door. This further exemplifies the staff competence and willingness to accommodate customer needs. The place is very understaffed presently, meaning the staff must multitask and are constantly on the go and in demand. This did not affect any aspects of my stay however, and this I find quite inspiring. I would recommend this hotel to visitors and passers through. I myself shall be residing within the hotel on any trips henceforth, to this locality, that warrant an overnight stay. Butch
