Shabby, tatty Hotel. Curtains in our en suite ripped and shredded. No pillow protectors and pillows ripped and extremely well used. Waitress in dining room couldn't see through hair in front of face and shoved our plates across table. Breakfast cold and congealed. Paid £72 for our stay and would not recommend to anyone to pay any more than that as it really is not worth it. Owners, clearly not reinvesting and upgrading hotel, which is a shame as its in a lovely location with beautiful walks and scenery on its doorstep and away from the more commercialised/touristy Aviemore but if that is your thing its only 10 mins away

It was a delight to spend Christmas here. Everywhere beautifully decorated, lovely food and very friendly staff. Just sit back and enjoy! The added bonus was snow which made the surrounding countryside so lovely. We loved the view from our window. Lots of walks on the doorstep.

We stayed for one night last week, our second visit. A cosy Victorian style hotel in a great location for exploring the Highlands. Nice fire and lounge area to savor a whiskey or 2! Food was great, staff are lovely. Ideal for a cosy night or 2 away. We will definitely be back time and time again.

We had a comfortable stay here for 2 nights. The location is perfect (although parking can be a little tricky depending on how busy it is). The hotel being dog friendly was an important feature for us. Having a nice park right opposite came in very handy for walking our dog. The bar and restaurant had good food options including veggie ones too. Breakfast was good but could use some fresh fruit on the options. Check in/check out was easy. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall a pleasant experience. Definitely recommended.

We had a lovely one night stay at the Nethybridge Hotel. We'd booked a train journey at Aviemore to travel behind The Flying Scotsman. As our train wasn't until 5pm we were unsure when we'd reach the hotel but were reassured that a meal would still be available and to just let them know if we'd be later than 8.30. We arrived at the hotel earlier than expected and found a warm welcome by Alison on check in who explained all to us and even suggested a river walk nearby for our dog. Some of the communal areas (corridors/staircases) looked a little tired but it's an old building which has ongoing updates. We stayed in a garden view room which was spotlessly clean, roomy and had a seating area by the bay window and a very large comfy bed. Our meals were delicious, drinks good and all staff were lovely - friendly and helpful. Good atmosphere in bar area with friendly guests who made a fuss of our dog. Breakfast was buffet style - piping hot and seemed to be local well cooked ingredients. The gardens were beautifully kept with special areas for dog excercise and a doggy bin just in case! Highly recommended for anyone wanting to stay in the area. A touch of nostalgic charm!
