We were fortunate to stay a night at the Caledonian after a long day of travel by car, which involved a detour in plans due to flat tire. We booked last minute and arrived in the evening after we determined our original destination was too far. Chris, the owner, was there to greet us at check-in and keep the bar open late so we could unwind and have a night cap. It was a great evening. After an excellent nights sleep we had a delicious breakfast in the morning and continued on our way, but with a new itinerary for the day, based on recommendations from Chris. Our stop at the Caledonian Fort Augustus was one of many highlights traveling through the highlands! Thank you Chris! - The Toole Family
Incredible bed and breakfast! Chris the manager was extremely amenable and took really good care of me. The rooms are clean and comfortable, good shower, comfy bed, and a solid, delicious breakfast. No complaints and would easily stay again!
My boyfriend and I slept here for two nights and absolutely loved it. The owners are incredibly nice and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The room was very clean and well cared for. The hotel is a bit older but you can feel the love and care they put into it. We will definitely return on our next trip to scotland. Thank you very much ☺️
Great small hotel, with very nice and super friendly host! Room were clean an comfortable. Position is just few steps from town center. Absolutely recommended. Thanks a lot Chris.
This was an excellent small hotel and Chris and Johanna were delightful hosts. The food was excellent and the game of dominoes with Chris at the bar and chat with other patrons was entertaining. If I could suggest one small thing it would be a sign directing motorcyclists to the other entrance which is not stones as I took a minor spill on the stones in a rut in the driveway. No harm done and highly recommend this lovely hotel.
