I used to live very close by to this hotel 50 years ago as l now live on the south downs in Sussex. l was visiting with my family from over seas from Australia, and they enjoyed the evening .we had a traditional Manchester dish.name it if you can !!!!.
I took 3 gentlemen for Christmas day lunch. It was absolutely diabolical. They had a total of £400 for 5 of us. It was a welcomed treat for the gentlemen we support as they hadn't been able to go out since lockdown. It was the worst experience ever for all of us. The food was terrible and we waited an hour and a half for starters, then another hour for the main meal. Myself and my colleague have complained but only got a sorry. No compensation or part refund offered. Terrible.
I would just like to say a huge thank you to Broadoak for letting us use your function room for our daughter’s first birthday party yesterday! It was absolutely perfect! A huge thank you to the staff for making sure everything was set in place for the day and to the kitchen for the buffet it was delicious! I would also like to thank Megan especially for everything she has done for us. On the day she made sure everything was set up perfectly, she took all the stress away from me and made sure everything ran smoothly on the day. She was so professional and polite. Greeting our guest and making sure everyone had a drink, knew where they were going, making sure the room was clean. I don’t know what I would have done without her. She is amazing! Thankyou all so much again, we had some many compliments on the day about how nice the venue was! We are so happy we chose Broadoak!
First time visiting and wasn't disappointed. Ordered drinks and a Sunday carvery, which had a home cooked feel, and that's a good thing as far as I'm concerned. The staff are all really friendly, welcoming and attentive. I'll definitely be heading back there at some point.
Hotel is located in a great place to commute to Manchester City and other local towns and there are plenty of transport options available. No Breakfast available but you do get complimentary cereal bars and coffee in the room a d there is a cafe across the road. Rooms have been refreshed through the years but still are a little run down. However this for the price you pay for a Manchester located hotel isnt bad at all. Over all a pleasant stay and staff were friendly.
