Our family came for dinner here last money evening with our Dog and were greeted with a lovely warm and friendly welcome. Martha loved sitting by the open fire and we all enjoyed our meals, my Caesar Salad was delicious. The gentleman, Steve, who served us was very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We enjoyed it so much, the boys and Martha returned with friends on Friday for another meal! Will 100% be recommending to friends and family!
Great place to eat. The burgers š were delicious. The young man at the bar most helpful & welcoming & helpful with advice on getting in with my husband's wheelchair. The other staff very friendly too. Highly recommended.
I believe I was meant to be an āEnglnderā because I fall more in love with all its spectacular offerings every visit. Upon my visit this Christmas holiday we ventured into Whitney. My daughter is aware of the most spectacular places to shop, dine and have a beverage. The āBlue Boarā was one of those places. Our starter, beverages. I had the āPassion Fruit Martiniā, my daughter the āEspresso Martiniā. Divine. We ordered āsharing platesā. Amazingly delicious. The service was friendly, quick and with a smile. A grand lunch indeed. Loved that they allow dogs in with their families. The restaurant has the comfortable English feel. Truly an enjoyable experience. Iāll return for another lunch on my next holiday! Thank you for good service and delicious food.
Wellā¦ I donāt leap straight onto Google Reviews without giving the venue a chance to respond to feedback - which I left in response to their request and followed up by email. They havenāt yet bothered to reply so here goes. My room 20 in the annexe was awful. - the drains in the bathroom smelt bad - moulding in bathroom was black - there were long black hairs on the shampoo bottle - the window in the room had mildew and mould on the frame and cill - the mattress had no protector - cleaning product left behind Oh and when I went for breakfast at 8:15 on Saturday the chef hadnāt yet arrived. Breakfast (when it came was good!)
Had an amazing meal at at The Blue Boar with exceptional customer service from Ruby. Welcoming manager as well (Steve). Food tasted superb and the atmosphere is great. A right little gem of a restaurant in Witney. An underground New Yorky vibe (in the best possible way). We will be back! š
