Welcome to the Blacksmiths Arms which has been a country village pub for it's enitre 350 years and still acts as a very popular meeting place for both locals and visitors to the county today. This attractive and historic inn offers a warm welcome, delicious home-cooked food, fine wines and CAMRA rated Ales from our tiny cellar, visible through a glass partition in the bar area. We are proud to offer the finest ales, and we support local breweries, a fact that brings enthusiasts from miles around. Our traditional restaurant uses locally sourced ingredients (where possible) in our freshly prepared dishes, served in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We offer a selection of delicious, home-cooked food, with an extensive menu, including a large selection of vegetarian dishes. We are proud to support local suppliers for our meat, fish and vegetables, wherever possible.
We visited here over the Christmas holidays whilst taking a short break and our first time in Lincolnshire. The main reason for choosing this venue was that my partner was really craving some traditional fish & chips and this place looked like it could be our answer. We were expecting/hoping for something reasonably decent, but WOW! The Haddock & chips with mushy peas was out of this world! Honestly the best fish & chips meal we have ever eaten EVER. The fish was perfectly cooked, batter was crisp and not greasy, chips were also cooked to perfection. The fish was obviously very fresh and actually tasted like fish should, it needed no salt & vinegar on it or anything else. Not only was it top quality in terms of taste, it was a big portion too. In fact we did order a starter of prawns which was delicious but was unnecessary as the main meal was so filling. Staff & owner lovely people, great ambience. Great value for money and a lovely pint of Batemans too. Overall the best meal we had in Lincolnshire, would give 6 stars if possible. Thank you guys & gals at the Blacksmith's :)
Our 2nd visit here. Tina the Manager is just wonderful. A warm welcome is guaranteed. The food is fabulous. Freshly cooked. Large portions. The atmosphere in this pub is just so lovely. Comfy chairs. Wonderful staff. Can't wait to come again. A good time was had by us again.
Incredible food and plenty of it. I had Sriracha Chicken skewers, served with salad and proper chips. Nice beer selection too. We will be back.
My partner called and we got in at 14.30 for Sunday lunch, when we got there the bar area had a few people in. The open fire was going and it was very pleasant. Greeted by the staff that knew my partner and we were quickly shown to our table. We waited a good few minutes for someone to take our order. But when the food arrived it was amazing. Good service great food.
Lovely friendly staff, nice area with lots of space and delicious food. Everything homecooked and from farmers locally. It really is a gem of a place. Their steak and ale pie was delicious! Lovely fresh vegetables - cooked to perfection!
