Have visited several times. Always delicious food, warm atmosphere and Christine is always extremely welcoming. Highly recommended. Will be back again for sure.
We are very local & just had an evening meal for my partner birthday. We had booked about a week before & discussed a menu that would suit us all. I even had to change the time due to work & Christine was very helpful. We had a lovely table and drinks we wanted was in stock. All the three courses where delicious and plentiful. Jane is an excellent cook. Thank you so much. We will be back xx

This is the second time we have stayed at the Red Lion. That in itself speaks volumes. The rooms are lovely they are beautiful decorated.this time we stayed upstairs, if I had a criticism it would just be that the rooms 2 & 3 could do with being soundproofed, as you can hear the hum of voices. We had an evening meal, 6 of us and as on our previous visit (2022) with a different set of friends the food is wonderful the choice is way larger then expected. Christine the owner is lovely as are her staff. Love staying here. Hopefully we will get to stay there again
In the middle of winter, when trade is understandably slow a hotel might be forgiven for not being quiet on their game. Well not at the Red Lion! Our 2 night stay in a large, clean and well appointed luxury room which opens on to the garden was absolutely fabulous! Food, both in the Restaurant and room service for breakfast was very nicely done. A full choice was on offer and no detail was too much bother. We really appreciated the care from our hosts who were amazing. Very friendly without being intrusive. We shall certainly return when visiting my brother who lives locally.
