The place has very much changed over the years, from being a member with my late father to now enjoying it with the wife and grand kids when they play football, i can say its a really friendly, family environment. The staff are lovely especially the one lady who seems to be there on every event, from my nephews wedding last year where she was seen blowing up endless amounts of balloons and adding extra touches off her own back to help, to more or less every other event thats ever held there helping and chatting and what looks like making the whole staff seem relaxed and happy. The reasoning for wanting to Express the gratitude is recently she helped my elderly mother at the club, with such love. Well done blackies for having such compassionate staff who obviously care for the place the way it should. Blackies is certainly the place to go for a few hours out where the kids can enjoy themselves also. The party planner kate is helpful And the new landlord boasts potential
Food a bit rubbish and very slow service for a formal meal, but staff very willing and helpful
Absolutely lovely clean place, friendly staff who go beyond to help, very family friendly lovely place to come with the children, also love the function room after we help our celebrations there recently couldn't fault one thing.
Great bonfire night here. It was all ran very professionally and everything handled very well. They had beer tents and also had a hot dog and burger stall. There was lots of people in attendance but there was plenty of room for everyone. I would highly recommend bringing the family to their annual bonfire night.
Great day at the Veterans Cup Final day today. Facilities fantastic for the event and the new barbeque looks great and went down a storm.
