Went here today for a Sunday lunch 😋 the food was good quality, the beef was so tender. If I was gonna be picky.. I wasent keen on the plates or cutlery. I think for that extra opulence they plate could have been bigger and I love big cutlery when dining out. The portion was good but you need to buy the sides to fill yourself up. The dessert was amazing.. try the brownie 😋 overall this was a lovely treat but to go all out would be an expensive one. Definitely worth a visit though. Staff very friendly, food arrived prompt.
A beautiful hotel in a fabulous location, within easy walking distance to most of Edinburgh's key attractions. It was a pleasure to return to our lovely room of an evening after huge days exploring gorgeous Edinburgh
Lovely food, I think we welcomed the new waitress into the hospitality business with a bump. Still, everything was OK. And was sorted. Took a while to get the menu we agreed on through email communication. Poor waitress pressed tip instead of split for the bill, and our friend ended up paying the whole bill plus 1/2 as a tip. It was rectified straight away.
Went there fore the boozy Boxing Day brunch. Which was fantastic. Good food, lovely drink, fantastic atmosphere. The food / portion sizes (we had the starter and the Scottish skillet) are however very very generous. Make sure you’re hungry.
A bit off the beaten track from the City Centre but well worth a visit. Beautifully decorated for Christmas with a really good festive menu. Food was piping hot and delicious. All the staff were very friendly, smiley and efficient. It was a lovely venue to visit and we'll be back soon.
