The clientele looked like the sort of people who were upset, after reading in the Daily Mail, that Boris Johnson was no longer prime minister. A soulless silence added to a mausoleum like atmosphere, with the cold stare of the locals focused on your very presence. With a no child policy seemingly to apply to the bar and back room, the future of this Inn seems to be getting ready to cash in on its life insurance. The Black Horse Inn: A Lee Anderson favourite.

Wandered in during a walk with my dog, very welcoming landlady. I’d never been before but we were friends in moments and I’ll be sure to go again soon. It’s not child friendly which suits me perfectly but should be noted for walkers with children. Very dog friendly, lovely warm fire on a misty icy walk and a beautiful! Highly recommended.
