Wow,wow absolutely brilliant stay. We stayed for 2 nights . Ryan and his team are very attentive and nothing was not a problem for them. We had dinner 2 nights let me tell you the food is outstanding. The mixed grill is right up there, the homemade Kebab is out of this world. The room was warm and very quiet with a beautiful view over the Trent . Even thou it was a bit chilly. If you’re in the area it’s worth staying we will be back. Ryan you got a good team you work hard as well as your staff . Keep up the good work .
We had a bad experience, so will not comment too much, service poor, the food we wanted from the menu wasn't available and to be honest not really much to choose but I did have blt ceasar salad with coffee coffee was cold by time I got my meal, half the chicken was cold half warm! I did ask for more hot water for my coffee! My partner had chips as nothing else to her liking we wasn't looking for a full dinner just light snacks... pooreven the pot of tea for my partner had tea rings inside the cup, chopped around the cup edge and teapot spout asked for a clean cup and it took over 10 minutes before I had to chase the waitress again ... and it wasnt that busy .. snacks menu only really unless you want burgers, etc ... very disappointing, barman needs to check out how to smile and loose the attitude... needless to say we won't be back I'm afraid, maybe a bad day for them it was a Friday 12 30!
Great experience. We have been multiple times and are always greater warmly by Jackie. Our Bassett hound is always greeted with such a great welcome. Good priced beer and good quality food
Lovely family get together at this lovely venue. Service was very slow because they were a little short staffed .. but that didn't spoil our evening. When the food came it was really good!
A weekend away with my daughter. She loved the name Unicorn Hotel. Position of hotel very scenic as it's next to River, plenty of carparking at the rear with a small playground. All staff friendly polite and helpful! We stayed a Friday and Saturday night. Lovely evening meals on both nights. The pub restaurant areas are spacious and cosy. Just needs some TLC due to it's age. The food was warm and very delicious. Lasagna, Gammon and children's beef burger. Cooked breakfast in the morning too! Room was ok again needs some TLC. Saturday we went to Belvoir Castle for the day which is only 25mins drive away. Thank you for your lovely welcome and hospitality throughout our stay. Will definitely visit again one day!
